PERU - Medical services provided by Illinois Valley Community Hospital are not affected by the recent announcement from the Blue Cross/Blue Shield insurance network that it is removing area OSF hospitals from its provider list beginning in January 2018.
“IVCH is still part of the Blue Cross/Blue Shield network,” said Tommy Hobbs, IVCH chief executive officer. “The announcement does not in any way alter our relationship with Blue Cross.”
Hobbs noted that IVCH is not an OSF hospital even though some OSF specialists receive patients at IVCH.
