PERU - The Illinois Valley Community Hospital Auxiliary will combine their next bake sale with a book signing by the Illinois Valley’s best-known midwife, Mary Bradish. The event will take place on Friday, Sept. 8 in the IVCH Café beginning at 7 a.m.
Bradish, one of the pioneers in the practice of midwifery in Illinois, will sign copies of her book, “Breathe, Breathe, Push.” The book is Bradish’s account of her long career during which she delivered more than 4,000 babies.
Copies of the book will be available for purchase along with assorted baked goods made by members of the IVCH Auxiliary.
