A free Brownfields Workshop will be held at Starved Rock Lodge on Wednesday, Oct. 18 to help communities gain a better understanding of what a brownfield is, learn how brownfield revitalization can be a part of a community’s economic development strategy, and hear from state and national leaders on resources available to communities.
The workshop is being co-hosted by the Illinois EPA Brownflelds Program, the City of Ottawa, and the Technical Assistance to Brownfields (TAB) Program at Kansas State University.
The workshop is open to the public as well as local and regional government officials, not-for-profit economic and community development organizations, lenders and real-estate professionals, property owners, and anyone interested in learning about brownfields or about financial resources for local redevelopment.
There is no charge for the workshop and lunch but registration is required. To register, go to the workshop webpage at https://www.ksutab.org/education/workshops/.
Please share this information with anyone who might benefit from attending the workshop.
