MENDOTA – East Main Street in Mendota and a small section of 16th Street (between East and West Main) will be closed for repairs starting this week and continuing for the next several months.
Andy Washelesky of Advanced Engineering said the work will include the entire length of East Main from 12th Street to the intersection with West Main, but only one block at a time will be completely closed to traffic during the daytime. At night, one lane will remain open.
The project will include repaving, curb and gutter, storm sewer, sidewalks on the east side of the street, and new driveway approaches. Work will be done by Advanced Asphalt of Princeton. The projected completion date is Thanksgiving, Nov. 23.
