In the U.S., what percentage of active-duty military are women (as of 2016)?
The answer to last week’s quiz is: Bison, not buffalo, are found in North America. Bison have huge heads and shoulder humps covered with thick fur. Buffalo are native to South Asia and Africa. Their heads are much smaller than a bison’s but their large horns can span over 6 feet. Early settlers in North America saw similarities between buffalo and bison and incorrectly used the term “buffalo” when referring to the bison. Through the centuries the name stuck.
