Mendota and Oregon hooked up in a tight game throughout that finally went to the Hawks, 62-58, on Feb. 24 at Oregon.
Oregon owned a 32-25 halftime lead, but the Trojans fought back in the third quarter and got to within one (45-44) at the end of the frame. Krew Bond scored 11 of Mendota’s 19 points in the period.
The Trojans held a one-point advantage on one occasion in the fourth, but Oregon regained the lead and held on for the four-point win.
Rafa Romero paced Mendota’s offense with 19 points. He connected on three shots from three-point range. Bond ended with 18 tallies, while Josue Arteaga provided 15 markers.

A second-half surge propelled Stillman Valley to a 66-48 victory over the Trojans on March 1 at Stillman Valley.
The Cardinals held a 12-10 margin after the opening quarter and stretched the lead to seven (30-23) at the break. Stillman Valley finally broke the game open in the third frame and owned a 49-36 cushion with three quarters in the books.
Bond had 19 points and Romero connected for 10 to lead the Trojans.
Mendota dropped to 1-9 on the season.
