Trick-or-Treat opportunities in Mendota

MENDOTA – Children in costume are invited to trick-or-treat at Mendota businesses and shops on Friday, Oct. 29 at participating businesses located throughout the town. Business owners will be passing out treats from 3-5 p.m.

Parents are reminded to have their children look for an orange Halloween poster on the door or window of those businesses that will be participating. The signs say “Trick-or-Treat Here” and have the date and time on them.

This promotion is sponsored by the Mendota Area Chamber of Commerce. Businesses wishing to participate and need an orange trick-or-treat poster are welcome to pick one up at the Mendota Chamber office.

There will be more opportunities for children to collect some of their favorite treats at other Halloween events. They include:

  • Mendota Elks Lodge #1212 trunk-or-treat in the parking lot on Friday, Oct. 29 from 3-5 p.m.
  • Mendota Rotary Club trunk-or-treat in the Elks parking lot.
  • City of Mendota trick-or-treat on Sunday, Oct. 31 from 5-7 p.m. Residents wishing to hand out treats should turn on their front porch light.
