The Mendota Lady Trojans saw their tennis season come to a close at the Ottawa Sectional on Oct. 13.
In singles play, Mendota’s Hannah Ambler was defeated by Ella Marvel of Ottawa, 6-0, 6-0. Also, Pearl Taylor dropped a 6-1, 6-2 decision to Lyndsey Arevalo of Streator.
In doubles action, Mendota’s Emma Boatman and Reiss Buettner were blanked by Maddy Jacobs and Sydney Schott of Sterling Newman, 6-0, 6-0. Katherine Wohrley and Bradyn Chandler teamed up in Mendota’s other doubles match and they were defeated by Klein/Ryan of Sterling Newman, 6-3 6-0.
Ottawa was the team title.

The Lady Trojans concluded the regular season with a 5-0 loss to Princeton on Oct. 9 at the MHS courts.
