SUBLETTE - Rhonda Politsch, 62, of Sublette passed this life on Aug. 28, 2021.

Visitation will be from 4:30-6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 2 at the Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota. There will be no services and private burial will be at a later date.

Rhonda was born Feb. 18, 1959 in Mendota to William and Shirley (Alshouse) Politsch.

Survivors include her mother, Shirley Politsch of Mendota; two sisters, Sherri Politsch of Mendota and Michelle (Jim) Vance of Pennsylvania; one brother, Roger Politsch; and two nephews, Peyton Vance and Jackson Vance.

She was preceded in death by her father in 2019.

Rhonda graduated from Mendota High School in 1977 and Illinois Valley Community College. In 1979, she began a 42-year career in banking with Sublette Farmers State Bank, later becoming Pioneer State Bank. She served with the Sublette Business Association and Sublette Fire Protection District. Rhonda was passionate about animals and devoted much of her time competing with her dogs in agility competitions and obedience training.
