Mendota High School names 2022 Illinois State Scholars

12 seniors achieve high academic standards

MENDOTA – Mendota High School Principal Denise Aughenbaugh is pleased to announce that 12 students from the Mendota Township High School graduating class of 2022 have been recognized as Illinois State Scholars.

The Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC), the state agency committed to helping to make college accessible and affordable for Illinois families, confers this prestigious recognition to top Illinois high school students annually. Illinois State Scholars represent approximately the top 10 percent of high school seniors from high schools across the state. Illinois State Scholars are chosen based on a combination of exemplary ACT or SAT test scores and sixth semester grade point average. 

The following Mendota High School students have been named 2022-2023 Illinois State Scholars:

Faith Anderson, daughter of Michael and Kara Anderson of Mendota; Elly Buettner, daughter of Doug and Allison Buettner of Mendota; Ted Landgraf, son of Mitch and Tammy Landgraf of Mendota; Paige Manning, daughter of Steve and Valerie Manning of Mendota; Maya Martin, daughter of Jason and Lisa Martin of Mendota; Meredith McConville, daughter of Emily McConville and Joe McConville of Mendota; Liam McGann, son of Patrick and Kim McGann of Earlville; Olivia Ross, daughter of Kirk and Kathy Ross of Mendota; Elizabeth Schillinger, daughter of Jeff Schillinger and the late Cathy Schillinger of Earlville; Andrew Stamberger, son of Jason and Rebecca Stamberger of LaMoille; Allison Stewart, daughter of Jason and Cheryl Stewart of Mendota; and Jacob Swope, son of Mark Swope and Rebecca Bond of West Brooklyn.
