Mendota rolled over Stillman Valley, 8-0, in a Big Northern Conference varsity boys’ soccer contest on March 23 at Stillman Valley.
It was a team effort as five different players scored goals. Yahir Diaz led the way with four goals and one assist. Single tallies went to Ricky Orozco, Luis Garcia, Edgar Arteaga and Izaiah Nanez. Jasiel Watson picked up two assists and Orozco had one.
Manny Trejo was perfect in goal with four saves.
Mendota claimed a 1-0 victory in the junior varsity game as Nanez booted home the lone goal.

The Trojans fell for the first time this season to a tough Dixon team, 4-1, on March 27 at the MHS field.
Mendota trailed 2-0 at halftime and could not catch up in the second half. Diaz had the Trojans’ lone goal.
Trejo had 12 saves in goal for MHS (3-1, 2-1).
