MENDOTA - Marcella “Sally” Chandler, 88, of Mendota, passed away Dec. 15, 2021 at Heritage Health, Mendota.

Private graveside services will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery, Mendota at a later date.

Sally was born Jan. 23, 1933 in New Ulm, Minn. to Harry and Elsa (Fredrick) Hamann. She married Joseph Chandler on June 30, 1956 at Holy Cross Church, Mendota. He preceded her in death.

Survivors include her daughter, Lannette (Don) Cleary of Mendota; two sons, Mike (Pam Schlegle) Chandler of Spring Valley and Jim (Doreen) Chandler of Tampa, Fla.; six grandchildren, Tyler Kent, Courtney Tucker, Dominik Chandler, Nathan Chandler, Dustin Kent and Jacob Chandler; 11 great-grandchildren, Aiden, Delila, Delaney, Landon, Emerson, Grayson, Kendall, Cameron, Elliot, Nolan and Gideon; and one sister, Betty Peterson of Moorehead, Minn.

She was preceded in death by her husband; three brothers, John, Delbert and Dennis Hamann; and two sisters, Myrtle Terry and Ordelle Labbs.

Sally worked at the Mendota Trouser Factory, Ben Franklin and held various waitress jobs. She was an avid euchre and bingo player.
