MENDOTA - Lynn J. Schmidt, 66, passed away Jan. 29, 2021 with her loving husband at her side at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria.

Visitation and services will be private. Burial will take place at Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Peterstown. Rev. Mary Bohall will officiate. Pallbearers will be Seth Reagen, Marty Graham, Doug and Paula Carrol, and Cody and Carrie Purcell. Wasmer Funeral Home is privileged to be assisting the family.

Lynn was born Aug. 15, 1954 in Spring Valley to Robert and Marion (Hoffman) Humphrey. She married Curtis Schmidt on Oct. 6, 1979 at Clarion Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her husband of Mendota; one daughter, Melissa (Seth) Reagen of Midtown Manhattan, N.Y.; two granddaughters, Zipporah, 6 and Aviva, 2; and one sister, Kay (Marty) Graham of Ottawa.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Lynn graduated from LaMoille High School in 1972 and from Illinois Valley Community College with an Associate of Arts in business. During her work career, she was a customer service specialist with Citizen’s Bank in Princeton and until 2001, with First State Bank in Mendota. She was actively involved with Mendota Business and Professional Women and the Scleroderma Foundation.
