MENDOTA - Luz Espinoza, 80, of Mendota passed away unexpectedly at home on July 4, 2021.

Visitation will be held from 9-11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 7 at the Wasmer Funeral Home, Mendota. A graveside service will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery with Rev. Peter Pilon officiating. Pallbearers will be Ramon, Jose Luis, Octavio, David, Jose Luis Jr. Espinoza, Elias Lee, Steve, Cameron, Lee Ortiz, and Jessie Reyes.

Luz was born Sept. 30, 1940 in Chihuahua, Mexico to Jesus and Agustina (Tinajero) Fierro. She married Ramon Espinoza in Mexico. He preceded her in death on Nov. 5, 2004.

Survivors include two daughters, Maribel (Elias) Ortiz of Mendota and Yolanda (Jessie) Reyes of Lafayette, Ind.; three sons, Ramon Espinoza Jr. of Mendota, Jose Luis (Estela) Espinoza of Mendota, and Reinaldo Espinoza of Mexico; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three brothers and two sisters.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, John; a daughter in infancy, Ramona; and a great-granddaughter, Mia.
