LaSalle County reports 22 total COVID-19 cases

OTTAWA – The LaSalle County Health Department (LCHD) has confirmed a total of 22 COVID-19 cases in LaSalle County as of April 13. Of those, the total number of recovered individuals for the county is seven and one individual has died. The total number of negative test results in LaSalle County is 276.

Among the positive cases over the past week are a female in her 20s, a female in her 30s, two males in their 40s, a female in her 60s and two males in their 70s. The individuals are in isolation. Federal privacy restrictions prohibit the release of any additional information regarding these cases. Public health officials are working actively to identify and investigate all individuals who were in contact with the cases.

As COVID-19 spreads, LCHD says the focus in local communities should not be whether you have been exposed but rather, assume you have been exposed and take measures to decrease the transmission to others. All LaSalle County residents are strongly encouraged to adhere to all of the required precautions necessary to protect their families and the community, to slow the spread of COVID-19.
