PLANO - Larry Keith Young, 62, of Plano, passed in peace on March 4, 2021 surrounded by many loved ones at Kishwaukee Northwestern Hospital, DeKalb.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Larry was born Dec. 4, 1958 in San Antonio, Texas to Melvin W. and Eugenia L. (Edge) Young.

Survivors include four children, Randy L. Young, Ryan K. Young, Amanda M. (Young) Blakely, and Felicia A. (Perry) Reyes; nine grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and three sisters, Peggy S. (Young) VanHauen, Mary. D (Young) Wallace, and Tracie L. (Young) Kinney.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his paternal grandparents, William Young, Charles and Della (Brackett) Smith; maternal grandparents, Alvin and Addie Lorraine (Talley) Edge; and two siblings, Janet F. (Young) Kearby and William A. Young.

Larry spent most of his life as a mechanic. He enjoyed working on vehicles with his sons, grandsons and nephews. He had many hobbies and interests that he enjoyed with all of his children such as hunting, fishing, canoeing and gardening. He also was an avid reader, especially westerns. He was a graduate of Plano Sr. High School and a member of Future Farmers of America.
