MENDOTA – The Mendota varsity boys’ soccer team prevailed over Oregon, 3-1, in a Big Northern Conference contest on April 6 at the MHS field.
Yahir Diaz rammed home all three goals for the Trojans and all were assisted by Johnathan Cortez.
The junior varsity game concluded in a 0-0 tie.

Mendota’s junior varsity squad battled with Winnebago’s varsity team and the Trojans squeaked out a 2-1 victory on April 8.
Iker Landeros and Isaac Guzman found the net for the Trojans, while Izaiah Nanez picked up an assist.
Martin Murillo was in goal for Mendota and he had 11 saves.
The goal by Winnebago was the only goal allowed this season by the Trojan junior varsity squad, which finished the season with a 6-0-1 record.
