MENDOTA - Frances Grace “Pat” (Hoffman) Hrovat, 95, departed this life to be with her beloved savior Jesus Christ on Dec. 11, 2020.

A celebration of life service will be scheduled at St. Johns at a future date. 

Pat was born Aug. 25, 1925 in Chicago to Alma and John Hoffman. She married Frank J. Hrovat on March 9, 1946. He preceded her in death on June 14, 2009.  

Survivors include one son, David (Kathy) Hrovat of Ludlow, Ky.; and three grandchildren, Ann Hrovat of Dallas, Jacqueline Beville (Matt) of Burbank, Calif. and Paul Hrovat of Chicago.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; three brothers, Bill, Raymond and Howard; and four sisters, Gladys, Rose, Betty and Gretchen.

Mendota was home to Pat for 54 years, primarily at 110 3rd St. She was employed by Wayside Press for 38 years and served the firm in a number of capacities. She was a life-long member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and was an auxiliary member of Mendota VFW Post 4079, serving a single term as president.
