MENDOTA - Eva Jean Cunefare, 86, passed away Aug. 2, 2020 at Heritage Health, Mendota.

Graveside services will be private. A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date.

Eva was born March 19, 1934 in Waverly, Ky. to Everett and Anna (Wolfe) Russelburg. She married Elmer “Sam” Cunefare on Feb. 16, 1952 in Tiskilwa. He preceded her in death on Sept. 9, 1990.

Survivors include two sons, Arlan (Diane) Cunefare of Tennessee and Brian Cunefare of Kansas; one daughter, Connie (David) Beetz of Mendota; 11 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; two sisters, Katherine Christian of Delaware and Phyllis Salsman of Galesburg; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband; one son, Dale; twin grandsons; her parents; four brothers; and two sisters.

Eva was an avid Chicago Bulls fan. She enjoyed quilting, completing puzzles, cooking, baking, watching her favorite game shows, and spending time with her family. She was a member of Holy Cross Church and Women of the Moose.

Memorials may be directed to Mendota Area Senior Services (M.A.S.S.) or OSF Hospice.
