The Mendota Lady Trojans had one conference champion after competing in the Big Northern Conference Varsity Girls’ Track Meet on May 4 at Genoa-Kingston.
Senior Mari Biers proved to be the best in the conference in the 300-meter hurdles as she raced to victory with a time of 48.36.
Mendota finished eighth in the team standings with 36 points. Dixon easily won the team title with 117 points.

The Lady Trojans finished up the regular season in the Illinois Valley Meet on May 8 at Ottawa. LaSalle-Peru took the team title with 153 points, while Mendota finished seventh with 43 points.
Mendota had two first-place finishers. Biers won the 300-meter hurdles in a time of 48.54, while Lydia Willis claimed the discus with a toss of 123-1.
