Northbrook Middle School sixth, seventh, and eighth graders who earned a 4.0 grade point average for first, second, and third quarters this year were recognized at District 289’s annual Honor Awards Banquet.

Students earn academic medals

Northbrook Middle School sixth, seventh, and eighth graders who earned a 4.0 grade point average for first, second, and third quarters this year were recognized at District 289’s annual Honor Awards Banquet. The banquet was held on May 1 at the Mendota Civic Center. Any student making the honor roll for at least one quarter this past year was invited to attend and either received a certificate, letter or pin. This year’s 4.0 GPA medalists, left to right, front row, are sixth graders, Carlos Mora, Madelyn Becker, Edan Bell, Emma Clark; back row, Logan Dewey, Bria Frey, William Hall, Lilly Leifheit, and Bridget McGann. Additional students earning the honor were sixth graders Jenah Sims and Grace Wasmer, seventh graders Jamie Dooley, Abigal Kunz, and Isabelle Escatel, and Faith Anderson and McKenzie Bierwirth.
