OGLESBY - Starved Rock Lodge & Conference Center recently announced that the Lodge has been selected as a 2018 winner of two wedding awards. The first is The Knot Best of Weddings, an award representing the highest-rated wedding professionals as reviewed by real couples, their families and wedding guests on The Knot, the leading online wedding brand and app. This is the sixth time Starved Rock Lodge been selected for The Knot Best of Weddings.

In 2018, only 3 percent of the approximately 300,000 local wedding professionals listed on TheKnot.com have received this distinguished accolade. To determine the winners, The Knot assessed almost 3.6 million reviews across the various vendor categories—venues, musicians, florists, photographers, caterers and more. These winners represent the best of the best wedding professionals that wedding couples would want to consider booking for their own unique wedding.

The Lodge’s second award is from wedding couples who voted for the WeddingWire Couples’ Choice Awards. Honorees represent the top 5 percent of wedding professionals nationwide for their excellence in quality, service, responsiveness, and professionalism within the wedding industry. Winners are selected solely based on their reviews and are determined by a combination of four factors: overall rating, total number of reviews, review performance from 2017, and consistency of reviews from year to year. The badge demonstrates to couples that Starved Rock Lodge is committed to providing the highest quality service throughout the planning process and on their wedding day.

In 2017, the Lodge was the setting for over 140 dream weddings. There are two outdoor ceremony sites on the Lodge grounds, each with a backup location in case of inclement weather.
