MENDOTA - Graves-Hume Public Library is hosting a one-time family craft project this fall. Participants are invited to come and get a pumpkin from the library beginning this week and take part in “The Great Library Pumpkin Contest.” The event is open to everyone.
The library asks that participants stop by and pick up a pumpkin that is provided by the library and then decorate it in ANY way with ANY materials they choose. Please note - carved pumpkins will not be accepted.
Each family should bring their pumpkin back to the library no later than Tuesday, Oct. 13 so the community can vote on their favorite. Voting will begin Oct. 13.
The library will award the top two vote-getting pumpkins with a gift card for Mendota Chamber Bucks. All children who participate will receive a participation prize as well. No library card is required to participate.
