MALTA – Girl Scouts of Northern Illinois will host its Annual Meeting on Saturday, April 29, at Kishwaukee College, 21193 MaltThis meeting encourages local Girl Scouts, ages 14 and older, and registered, adult Girl Scout members to voice their opinions and help shape the future of Girl Scouting in northern Illinois.a Road in Malta.
From 10 a.m.– Noon, the event will introduce board members for election, honor volunteers receiving high level awards, recognize girl recipients of the Girl Scout Gold Award, and a feature a Forever Green Ceremony where young women graduating high school will cross the bridge and become adult members of Girl Scouts. The event will feature family-friendly interactive booths and Girl Scout merchandise available for purchase before and after the meeting from 9–10 a.m. and 12–1 p.m.
The meeting is open to the public with registered Girl Scout girl members, ages 14 and older, and registered adult members having the opportunity to vote on important Girl Scout issues. Admission is free and includes light breakfast and coffee. Register at www.girlscoutsni.org/annualmeeting.
