MENDOTA – Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Faber of Mendota celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on Dec. 28. Maurice Faber and the former Clarice Pohl were married at the First United Presbyterian Church with Pastor Wilburt Hare officiating. Matron of honor was Ruth Crossman and best man was John VanEtten.
Maurice served in the U.S. Army and farmed all of his life, operating the combine until he was 87. Clarice was a homemaker, and both were very active in the Clarion Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church.
They are the parents of two sons, Paul (Rose) Faber of LaMoille and Dr. David (Kay) Faber of Sioux Center, Iowa. They have six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
