PRINCETON – Can music save endangered languages (and why should we care anyway)? If you are interested in finding out, join Kit Ashton at the Princeton Public Library Thursday, May 24 at 6:30 p.m. Ashton will sing songs and discuss the music of endangered languages from around the world.

Ashton is a British musician from the Channel Island of Jersey. He is currently a PhD candidate researching the links between music, language, and cultural identity, with a focus on the endangered language of Jersey Norman French known as Jèrriais.
