Discovery Center Museum presents “Spooky Science”

ROCKFORD – If you are looking for a fun, safe and not-too-scary Halloween celebration for youngsters, Discovery Center Museum is hosting a party for children on Friday, Oct. 26 from 6-9 p.m.

Spooky Science invites families to come in costume, bring their Trick-or-Treat bag and grab gobs of goodies in our exhibit spaces. Concoct glowing slime and make monstrous crafts. Network with eminent inventors and distinguished scientists who happen to also be dead. Pick up a prize from Alfred Nobel, enjoy some hair-raising experiences, and experiment with science tricks that look like magic. Have a bone-tickling good time in a special science show geared for grownup ghouls, mid-sized monsters, and pint-sized poltergeists.

Admission will be $9 per person for the general public; $5 per person for members. Admission will include all related activities. Parking is free at 711 N. Main Street. This event is sponsored by Sjostrom & Sons, and it is partially funded by a grant from the Illinois Arts Council Agency.
