MENDOTA – Mr. and Mrs. Jon E. Dinges, 1405 Timothee Lane, Mendota, will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on May 29, 2019. They were married at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Compton.
Jon and the former Joyce Kromm are parents of two children, Mark (Barb) Dinges of Troy Grove and Lori Mateika of Forreston. They have seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Jon worked at the Mendota Farmers Co-op for 38 years, 25 as general manager, before his retirement. He then worked for 15 years at Schimmer Automotive in Mendota and Peru as a driver.
Joyce worked at General Telephone in Mendota and then as an office secretary at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Mendota for 18 years.
They made many trips to Arizona to spend the winter months and enjoyed some extensive trips around the country.
