STREATOR – Illinois Valley Activity Directors Association held a meeting on Aug. 14 at Heritage Health in Streator.
Joelle Patterson from Pleasant View in Ottawa was welcomed as a new member.
Members were given handouts on two new entertainers to utilize.
It was noted that the Illinois Activity Professionals Association’s convention will be held Oct. 18-20 in Springfield.
Deborah Connery, consultant and vice president of Health Pro Rehab addressed members with meaningful activities for residents who are withdrawn, depressed, and unmotivated.
The next meeting will be held on Sept. 11 at noon, at Liberty Restaurant in Peru. The speaker will be Serena Schmechel, R.N., Vitas, on managing stress while providing quality care.
All LaSalle County activity directors are welcome to attend.
