MENDOTA – VFW Post 4079 Auxiliary met on April 13 for the monthly business meeting.
Buddy Poppy Days will be held on Friday, May 3 and Saturday, May 4. This year there will be members taking donations at the intersection of Main and Meriden streets on both days. There will also be members taking donations at other locations around town. Members can sign-up for a time to work, or contact an officer for details.
Under unfinished business, members discussed the upcoming Steak Fry on Saturday, April 20. Coals will be ready at 5:30 p.m. Members are asked to sell raffle tickets for the event.
Under new business, election of officers was held for the 2019-20 year. These officers will be installed at the meeting on May 11.
Members are reminded that the 9th District will hold its spring meeting at the LaSalle VFW Post 4668, 2325 Donahue St, LaSalle on Sunday, April 28 at 1 p.m.
