OGLESBY – The LaSalle County Retired Teachers Association held an executive board meeting on Feb. 4 at Dickinson House in Oglesby.
Discussion included: correspondences, books for the Little Library, Goodwill donation, two upcoming meetings, and 2019 goals including a newsletter revamp.
The annual Winter Breakfast Meeting at Sunfield Restaurant in Ottawa will be held on Monday, Feb. 25. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. with breakfast at 9 a.m. The program is expected to be completed by around 11:30 a.m. Doug Strand, the IRTA endorsed candidate for the TRS trustee position and Nathan Mihalich, IRTA Director of Membership and Marketing will be the guest speakers.
The annual spring April General Meeting at Festivities Unlimited in Ottawa will be held on Monday, April 22. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. Coffee and donuts will be available. TRS Director of Outreach Richard Frankenfeld and IRTA Benefits representative Nancy Kramer will be guest speakers. ROE superintendent Chris Dvorak will also speak. The $2 fee is payable at the restaurant.
