VFW Auxiliary
MENDOTA – VFW Post 4079 auxiliary members met at Veteran’s Park for the Veteran’s Day program on Nov. 11. Afterward they served 46 people a light meal at the VFW.
Twelve members met and conducted a short meeting. They approved one new membership and approved two members that converted to life membership. Dues for eight other members were received.
They will discuss more information about the Honor Flight at their December meeting.
Trustees approved the bills. Ninety-eight box tops for education were sent to the VFW National Home for Children. Treasurer’s report was presented and members are reminded that to be in good standing, they must pay dues this month. Online payment may be made using the new MALTA system.
Their next meeting is on Saturday, Dec. 9 at 11 a.m. They will have a lunch after the meeting.
