PRINCETON – “Bureau County’s Place in Illinois History” will be discussed at the next Bureau County Genealogy Society meeting.
The program will be presented by David Gugerty, curator of the Bureau County Historical Society. Gugerty has created an impressive speech on the topic of Bureau County history spanning the years from our statehood through the 1900s.
The presentation will begin at 7 p.m. at the BCGS library at 629 South Main Street in Princeton on Thursday, Jan. 24. All monthly programs are free and open to the general public. This meeting is also considered the annual meeting for the organization and a financial report for the year will be available.
For more information, the BCGS library is open 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and the first Saturday of the month. Please also visit the newly redesigned website bcgenealogy.org. The next opportunity to research on a Saturday will be on Feb. 2.
