PAW PAW - Nomination petitions are now available for the April 6, 2021 Consolidated Election.
Seats are open both for the Paw Paw Village Board and the Paw Paw Public Library District Board. All candidates must reside within the Paw Paw village limits.
Candidates for the Village Board may pick up and file petitions with the village clerk at 362 Chicago Road in Paw Paw. Petitions are available for the positions of village president, three village trustees, and one village trustee position for a two-year unexpired term. All positions are for four-year terms except for the one unexpired two-year term.
Petitions may be filed at the village office on Dec. 14, 16, 17, 18 and 19 between the hours of 8 a.m. and noon; and on Dec. 15, 2020 between 1:30 and 6 p.m. The last day to file a petition will be Monday, Dec. 21 by 6 p.m.
There are seven library trustee positions now open. Three positions are for two-year unexpired terms. Four positions are for regular four-year terms. Petitions are available at the library. Petitions may be filed Dec. 14-21 at the Paw Paw Public Library during library operating hours. Current Library hours are Tuesday and Wednesday 10 a.m.-6 p.m., Thursday 10 a.m.-7 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m.-noon. Any questions, please call the library at (815) 627-9396 or stop in.
