SUBLETTE – Rev. Billy Graham, one of the world’s best known Christian evangelists, passed away recently in his North Carolina home at 99 years of age.
In the 1940s Rev. Graham was a student at Wheaton College and occasionally spent weekends in Sublette. One of his good friends, also a student at Wheaton, was the minister at the Sublette Union Church. Several times Rev. Graham accompanied his friend to Sublette and also preached at the Church. Then when his friend got married at the Sublette Church Rev Graham served as a best man.
