OGLESBY - University of Illinois Extension - Bureau, LaSalle, Marshall & Putnam Counties is hosting their annual 4-H officer training on Saturday, Dec. 4 at IVCC in rooms CTC 124 and 125 from 9 a.m.-noon. All youth interested in becoming an officer in their 4-H community club are encouraged to attend and learn more about the officer positions and leadership roles.

Officer roles include, but are not limited to, president, vice president, secretary, treasurer, and recreation leader. For those already elected as officers, it is important that they attend to learn their officer role and to help their club and 4-H leader run meetings in an efficient and smooth manner.

There will be a lot of fun, hands-on activities and games planned to help youth develop and learn leadership skills, which are not just important in 4-H but also in life. Plus, it is always fun to meet kids from other clubs, enjoy refreshments and win prizes. They hope to see all 4-H clubs across Bureau, LaSalle and Marshall-Putnam counties represented at the training in December.

Register online at https://forms.gle/1iZBYmgudmJ4EaWh9 by Dec. 1. Masks are required at the training and social distancing will be practiced.
