Renny was born on July 7, 1922, in No Creek, Ky., the daughter of P.D. and Martha Rogers Tweddell. Soon, the family moved to Hartford, Ky., where she attended all 12 grades at Hartford High School.

She is survived by her daughter, Cassy and son-in-law Art; two devoted grandsons, Reverend David Jungnickel and wife Donna of La Moille and Eric Jungnickel of Naperville; five great-grandchildren, Courtney (Matt) Baleiko, Carley (Dave) Joyce, Mak Jungnickel, Briana (Reiley) Reardon and Nicole Jungnickel. She also leaves behind her great-great-grandchildren, Finnick, Cy, Aubrey and Oaklee; and many loving nieces and nephews who have always been an intricate part of her life.

Renny was preceded in death by her beloved husband; parents; six brothers, Roger, Morris, Jimmy, Musker, Pete and Morgan; and her two sisters, Millie and Lula May.

She was active in school, playing snare drums in band, girls glee club, President of her class, Editor in Chief of their school annual and cheerleader all four years of high school. She never lost her zest for living.

In 1940 Renny, met the love of her life, a handsome young schoolteacher from Cromwell, Ky., Bill Miller and they were married on her 18th birthday. They were married 68 wonderful years until Bill passed away in 2008. One beautiful daughter, Cassandra Jo, was born to this union. Renny’s family was very close knit and enjoyed family reunions every year.

During World War II, they lived in many places and afterwards they settled in Chesterton, Ind., and lived there for 37 years. They were faithful members of Chesterton United Methodist Church where Renny taught Sunday school, bible studies and other activities. She was active in the PTA, a member of Delta Theta Tau sorority, a philanthropic organization, Jr. Women’s Club, Young Adult Group and many other community projects, holding office in all.

She and Bill enjoyed vacationing, visiting all 50 states, London, Paris and many cruises. After retirement they spent their winters in Stuart, Fla., and made many friends there. In 1994 they moved to Hot Springs Village, Ark., to be near their daughter and son-in-law. They soon became faithful members of Christ of the Hills United Methodist Church. They were active in church until Bill’s health failed. She often spoke of love for her church families. They loved bridge and belonged to the Village Card Club. After Bill died, Renny always said bridge was her therapy. Renny was also an avid reader and oil painter. In 2021, she moved to Stonecroft Village in Mendota, to be near to her family until her passing.
