LA SALLE - The 16th Annual LaSalle County Stockman’s Association Harvest Reward and Recognition Banquet will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 26 at Senica’s Oak Ridge, U.S. Route 6, LaSalle. The evening will begin with a social hour and silent auction at 5:30 p.m.
Dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. followed at 7:15 p.m. by a program and live auction of the 2019 Grand and Reserve Champions Market Animals from the LaSalle County Junior Fair. The public is invited to attend.
Awards will be given to the winners of Showmanship, Junior Fair Bred & Owned, Mendota Tri-County Fair Bred & Owned, and Rate of Gain; announcement of scholarship recipients; and naming of the Stockman of the Year.
Winners of the 2019 “Win a Show Animal” essay contest will be announced. This year’s animal donors include Steer/Heifer: Schafer Stock Farm, Owaneco; Wether/Ewe: Jacob Black, Streator; Barrow/Gilt: Brockman Farms, Verona; and Goat Wether/Doe: Woodside Farm/Robson Family, Marseilles.
