LA SALLE - Stage 212, in the interest of the health and safety of their patrons and participants, has decided to postpone until 2021 the remainder of their 2020 season, which began last winter with “Nunsensations: The Nunsense Vegas Revue.”

The three remaining productions in the 2020 season package are the hilarious comedy “Farce of Nature,” the classic Cole Porter musical, “Kiss Me Kate” and the musical comedy, “Don’t Hug Me.” These three productions will round out the four-production package purchased by 2020 season subscribers.

The previously announced comedic drama, “August Osage County” will no longer be presented. Stage 212 will announce updated dates and performance times for the three productions via e-mail, social media and press announcements as more information regarding the ability to re-open safely and effectively becomes available.

Stage 212 has also decided to postpone indefinitely their 2020 fundraiser production “212 Sings: Cocktails & Classics.” The event will be rescheduled when the theater is allowed to re-open safely. Current “212 Sings: Cocktails and Classics” ticket holders have the option to keep their tickets and apply them to the as yet undetermined future performance dates, or they may request a full refund.

To apply for a refund, ticket holders must submit a refund request via e-mail to stage212box@gmail.com or mail it to Stage 212, P.O. Box 198, LaSalle, IL 61301. Include the ticket holder’s name, a phone number where they can be reached, and an address to receive the refund check. All refunds will be distributed in check form. Those deciding to keep their tickets do not need to do anything. The tickets will be automatically transferred to the new dates when the production is rescheduled.

Stage 212 is a small non-profit, primarily volunteer, performing arts organization and has been hit hard by COVID-19, but they understand that many, many other organizations, industries and individuals have been hit hard as well.
