SPRING VALLEY – The Mendota sophomore boys’ basketball team claimed a 62-28 victory over Hall in its final game of the Colmone Classic on Dec. 7 at Spring Valley.
The Trojans led by a 19-13 count after the opening stanza, and then poured it on over the final three periods. Mendota led 35-18 at the half and outscored Hall, 27-10 in the second half.
Three Trojans hit double digits in scoring, led by Dane Doyle with 18 points. He drilled four shots from three-point range. Alex Beetz was next with 13 points, followed by Keegan Beetz with 11 and Johan Cortez with eight.
