LaSALLE – Robin L. Hedgspeth, of LaSalle, passed away peacefully on Dec. 29, 2023, at OSF Saint Paul Medical Center, Mendota, surrounded by her family.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. and services will begin at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 4, 2024, with Father Jeff Windy officiating at the Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota. A luncheon will follow the service.

She grew up in Mendota and remained in the Illinois Valley for her entire life.

She is survived by a sister, Sally Hedgspeth; a brother, Will (Kathy) Hedgspeth; a niece, Kari (Nick) Pohar; and great nephew and niece, Nolan and Kaiya Pohar.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Marge (Goubeaux) Hedgspeth, and her sister, Helen Lemmer.

She thrived while living in a Horizon House group home where she was with great friends. She enjoyed the many outings that the house participated in. While she could have been described as quiet, those closest to her would say she was very sweet. Robin frequently would offer the first hug to a housemate that was sad. She loved visiting with family for holidays and celebrations, but home was at Horizon House.
