ROCHELLE - The Roberts Armory World War II Museum will be open from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 21, as part of the Lincoln Highway Heritage Festival in Rochelle. The museum displays artifacts from World War II, specializing in the history of the 70th Tank Battalion, 10th Mountain Division of World War II as well as local veterans from World War II.
The museum is only open three times a year. There is no admission charge.
To find the museum, go to the intersection of Route 251 and Intermodal Drive in Rochelle. (An Army truck is at this intersection.) Just follow the signs, about 3 miles to the museum.
