LA SALLE – Perfectly Flawed is reminding the public to stay safe and connected while practicing physical distancing during the current stay-at-home orders related to COVID-19.
By its nature, anxieties and fears have increased in this uncertain and rapidly changing period. With increased isolation and boredom that exist, there is a risk of increased self-medicating with recreational alcohol and drug use among the general population.
Perfectly Flawed has created a COVID-19 resource page at perfectlyflawed.org with a list of helpful resources and uplifting articles. This includes the Illinois Warm Line (866-359-7953) that is staffed by recovery support specialists and offers free phone support for anyone living in Illinois as well as the Illinois Substance Use helpline (833-2FINDHELP). If you need help, reach out.
Also, The Perfectly Flawed Foundation is hosting a series of “Facebook Live” interviews available at www.facebook.com/theperfectlyflawedfoundation/:
Tuesday, March 31 - 5:15 p.m. - Interview on how to help manage our responses to negative life situations with Gina Johnson, MSW, LCSW and author of “Let’s Make It a Habit: Train Your Brain to Navigate Negativity
