MENDOTA – On May 30 at approximately 5:14 a.m., the Mendota Police Department received a call of a suspicious vehicle dragging something behind it and a suspicious person in the 400 block of 12th Street.

Police seek identity of man who allegedly stole vehicle

MENDOTA – On May 30 at approximately 5:14 a.m., the Mendota Police Department received a call of a suspicious vehicle dragging something behind it and a suspicious person in the 400 block of 12th Street.  Once on scene it was found the driver, a male, wearing a blue-colored sweatshirt and dark-colored pants had left the area on foot westbound.

In the early stages of the investigation, it was found the vehicle had been stolen from the area of North 42nd Road and East 4th Road. This matter is under investigation, if you have any information regarding this incident, please contact the Mendota Police Department at (815) 539-9331. 

The Mendota Police Department is seeking any outdoor video surveillance footage in the residential areas west of 12th Street and Stroble Avenue of a male 5-6 to 5-7 tall, approximately 140 pounds, wearing a blue-colored sweatshirt and dark-colored pants.
