MAYTOWN - Norma J. Bushman, 78, of Maytown died April 12, 2021 at OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center in Rockford.
Visitation will be held from 9 to 10:45 a.m. on Thursday, April 15 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Maytown. There will be a private family mass after the visitation and burial will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery in Maytown. Face coverings are required for services. Arrangements are by the Mihm-Jones Funeral Home in Amboy
Norma was born June 23, 1942 in Amboy to Arthur and Clara (Sibigtroth) Leffelman. She married Leo Bushman on Sept. 8, 1962 at St. Patrick Church, Maytown.
Survivors include her husband; one daughter, Lori (Bruce) Setchell of Amboy; one son, Patrick (Elizabeth) Bushman of Dixon; five granddaughters, Katherine (Andrew) Bulfer, Emily (Thomas) Swenson, Julia Setchell, Maggie Bushman and Gretchen Bushman; three great-grandchildren, Lee, Delaney and Clara; one brother, Gilbert (Linda) Leffelman of Amboy; one sister, Carol (Charles) Koch of Fond du Lac, Wis.; one brother-in-law, Lawrence (Gloria) Bushman of Franklin Grove; one sister-in-law, Mary (Roger) Kuffel of Kewanee; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers Hubert Leffelman, Delbert Leffelman and Norbert Leffelman; and two sisters, Ruby McLaughlin and Vivian Goy Burke.
Norma farmed with her husband in Maytown for many years, worked at Josten’s in Princeton and was a floral designer, earning a certificate in Floral Design from SVCC, working for Floral Crest in Mendota and Valley Flowers in Spring Valley. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Maytown and of the Altar and Rosary Society.
