MENDOTA – Decorative banner flags now adorn the light posts on Illinois Avenue in downtown Mendota.

The banner flags were purchased by the Mendota Garden Club, and the city bought the hardware to mount the flags. The hardware is capable of holding larger flags also. It is hoped that other groups/organizations will sponsor additional seasonal flags or custom flags with their own logo.
