MENDOTA - Nancy A. Stevens, 82, of Mendota passed away Sept. 9, 2021 at her home.

Celebration of Life visitation will be from 10-11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 15 at Wasmer Funeral Home. Cremation rites have been accorded and a memorial inurnment will follow at Wisner Cemetery.

Nancy was born March 3, 1939 in LaSalle to Nicholas and Lucille (McDowell) Christman. She married Robert Stevens on Aug. 2, 1969 in Ottawa. He preceded her in death on Sept. 9, 2019.

She will be deeply missed by two sons, Bill (Jamie) of Peru and Mike (Angie Needs) Stevens of Mendota; three daughters, Dessa (Bill) Keigley of Mendota, Shelli (Bryan) Henderson of Mendota and Donna Stevens of Mendota; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one granddaughter, Destiny Kerchner; and two brothers, Albert Christman and Craig Christman.

Nancy worked in assembly and as a riveter for Hart-Carter for many years and was an aide working in home health until her retirement.
