MENDOTA – Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Flanagan will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary in September. Daniel J. Flanagan and Barbara Lucas were married on Sept. 3, 1955, in Dixon.
They are parents of Janet (Calvin) Keefer of Mark, Karen (John Strohman) Cater of Madison, Teresa Bair of Mendota, David of Helotes, Texas, and Jeffrey (Kim Sheppards) of Troy Grove. They have 11 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter and one step-great-granddaughter.
Mr. Flanagan farmed for 10 years while working at H.D. Conkey. He retired after 44 ½ years from Conco/Heico. Mrs. Flanagan was a stay-at-home mom, periodically working at factories and waitressing. She was last employed at Sam’s Steak House.
