MENDOTA – A man was found deceased in the restroom at the Shell gas station in Mendota on Dec. 26.

Mendota police officers and Mendota EMS personnel were called to the gas station at 700 13^th Ave., at approximately 4:44 p.m., for the report of a male in the restroom who was unresponsive. Upon arrival, emergency responders had to force entry into the restroom where they found the male deceased.

No foul play is suspected and the man’s name is not being released pending further investigation by the Mendota Police Department and the LaSalle County Coroner’s Office.
