LA SALLE - The LaSalle Public Library will virtually host Father Dominic Garramone, OSB on Saturday, Feb. 5 at 1 p.m. for his special program celebrating Valentine’s Day.
In this virtual program, prepare for Valentine’s Day with Father Dominic by learning how to make flaky puff pastry from scratch in less time then it takes to go to the store, and see how to use it to make buttery, bite-sized treats including heart-shaped cronuts, savory cheese puffs and butterscotch napoleons. Father Dominic will answer any baking questions at the end of the presentation and will provide a link to all featured recipes.
Father Dominic is a monk of Saint Bede Abbey in Peru. He was host of the PBS cooking show, “Breaking Bread with Father Dominic” from 1999 to 2001 and has written several cookbooks.
The program is free, open to all and will be presented on Zoom. To attend, register online at https://bit.ly/33cud9W. For more information, please call the LaSalle Library at (815) 223-2341.
